A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the result service; our servers do not retain a copy of those search terms. If you contact us, the message itself supplies the information we use to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Ordinary hosting logs can contain an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate for service reliability and general page use. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and, where relevant, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to operate the service, diagnose problems, measure broad traffic, and improve the reference material. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
Outside Services and Links
Links may lead to Washington County or Minnesota records portals, libraries, archives, and third-party search services. Their own privacy practices apply once you submit information there. That includes sponsored results supplied by a third party.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process the technical logs described above. Analytics or advertising partners may receive automatic data for their services. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
Data Safeguards
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. There are no visitor accounts, passwords, or personal profiles maintained by this site.

This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect a minor's personal information. Contact us if you believe a minor supplied information, and we will remove it.
Your Minnesota Privacy Rights
Minnesota's Consumer Data Privacy Act, Minn. Stat. §§325M.10–325M.21, provides qualifying rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain processing by covered controllers. Because this service keeps little visitor information, a request generally involves our contact mailbox and any relevant logs. Use the Contact page to ask. A public record held by a Minnesota state, county, or city office is outside our control; requests about that record belong with its custodian, including the Washington County data-practices route where applicable.
